Do you know why they call them replacement windows? Because sooner or later, you will have to replace them. It's that simple!

People ask me about windows all the time and some people just assume that if they are older, original windows, that they have to be replaced. And I would say you need to step back and take a little bit of a closer look at your building, the quality, the age/time period, the importance of the windows and the fenestration, which is in the architecture of the building, before you just wholesale call the guy and say "I need to replace all these windows". If you don't use the right replacement window it will come back to haunt you.

And even if it doesn't come back to haunt you, it would be a shame to replace original windows that are 100 years old and in functional shape with windows that will need to be replaced in 20 years.
